Afrobeats sensation Ruger has officially released his groundbreaking sophomore album BlownBoy RU, marking his triumphant debut as an independent artist under his newly established BlownBoy Entertainment label. The 13-track project showcases Ruger at his most confident and versatile, blending infectious rhythms with introspective lyricism.

Following his departure from Jonzing World in 2024, Ruger has crafted an album that celebrates creative freedom while delivering the signature sound that made him a star. The project features previously released hits including the anthemic BlownBoy Anthem, the Tiwa Savage-assisted Toma Toma, and the gritty fan favorite Toro.

“This album represents my evolution as an artist and a man,” Ruger stated. “Going independent gave me the freedom to create exactly the music I want to make, and I couldn’t be prouder of the result.”

Production credits include work from hitmaker Kukbeatz and other top-tier producers, creating a sonic landscape that ranges from high-energy bangers to soulful ballads. The project maintains Ruger’s signature playboy persona while exploring deeper themes of independence, ambition, and romance.

BlownBoy RU arrives as Ruger continues his ascent in the global Afrobeats scene. Early singles from the album have already amassed millions of streams, with Toma Toma becoming a continental smash. The full project demonstrates Ruger’s artistic growth and positions him for even greater international success.
