Independent reggae dancehall artist Kwame Ultimate has released his latest single, “Say I Luv U,” a vibrant fusion of reggae dancehall and Afrobeats that delivers a timeless message: express love now, not tomorrow.

Released on January 30th, 2026, “Say I Luv U” declares “I love you” in nine different languages, creating a sonic tapestry that transcends cultural boundaries. The track serves as a heartfelt reminder that love in all its forms—romantic, familial, and platonic—deserves to be shared openly and without delay.

The inspiration for “Say I Luv U” struck during a 2023 holiday in Turkey, where Kwame witnessed families, friends, and lovers sharing moments of connection in cable cars high above the mountains of Antalya. The idyllic scenes sparked such a creative rush that by night’s end, the entire song had formed in his mind.

Written and produced by Kwame Ultimate, the track was recorded and mixed at Kris Kemist’s Reality Shock Recording Studio in Reading, UK. Kwame collaborated with his friend and co-producer Askell, the renowned Jamaican musician and composer, whose musical expertise brought the song’s emotional depth to life. The recording features expressive lead guitar work from Paul ‘WrongMove’ Crossdale, a multiple Grammy-certified musician whose playing mirrors the song’s heartfelt sincerity.

An excellent lyricist who likens his craft to that of ancient Alkebulan griots, Kwame Ultimate hails from Trench Town, West Kingston—the same cornerstone area that produced his hero Bob Marley. Named “Kwame” during a visit to Ghana, he began writing as a toddler and eventually channeled his love of words into a career as a criminal lawyer before fully embracing music.

Kwame’s impressive career includes winning talent competitions such as Tastee, Bohemia, and the National Deejay Championships for Kingston in Jamaica. He has toured the UK with London’s legendary Saxon Studio, performed across Jamaica, including at Kingston’s historic Ward Theatre, and shared stages with King Yellowman, Nadine Sutherland, Ziggy Marley & the Melody Makers, and Akon, for whom he opened at London’s Hammersmith Palais in 2005.

“Say I Luv U” will feature on Kwame Ultimate’s forthcoming album I AM Reggae I AM Dancehall. His previous track “I am ReggaeMuzik” continues to gain momentum on Spotify and YouTube. The official music video for “Say I Luv U” is scheduled for release in February 2026.

Drawing influence from legends including Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, SupaCat, Josey Wales, and Tanya Stephens, Kwame Ultimate continues to carve his own path in reggae dancehall with authenticity and purpose.
