Following the foundation established by his 2024 debut album “Stubborn” and “Very Stubborn” Nigerian singer Victony has returned with his highly anticipated sophomore project, “STARLIFE.” The 15-track album finds the Lagos-born artist operating with greater creative confidence as he continues to expand his sound and reach.

“STARLIFE” represents a significant step forward in Victony’s artistic journey. Where “Stubborn” introduced audiences to his introspective songwriting and distinctive melodic instincts, the new album presents a more assured artist navigating the realities of visibility, success, relationships and the personal cost of his journey.

Executive produced by Shay “Gideon” Royale and Elochukwu Ububa, the album moves through lush layers of contemporary Afrobeats, atmospheric pop textures and intricate percussion. Victony’s fluid, falsetto-leaning vocals remain central to the project, allowing him to move effortlessly between understated melodies and more expansive pop moments.

The album features 10 solo tracks, including previously released records such as “SLICK” and “FRE$H,” alongside a strong collection of guest appearances. BNXN joins Victony on “WHO THIS,” while Blaqbonez and YKB appear on the title track, “STARLIFE.” Elsewhere, BabyboyAV features on “PINO,” Young Jonn appears on “A*RMED & DANGEROUS,” and FOLA contributes to “TWIN.”

Across the project, Victony uses his songwriting to examine what life looks like after survival. The pressures that accompany international recognition sit alongside stories of romance, ambition and personal endurance, giving the album a reflective quality beneath its polished production.

Rather than leaning heavily on conventional pop formulas, Victony approaches many of the songs through conversational writing and detailed observations. There is room for confidence and celebration, but also for the quieter moments where the realities of his position become clearer.

With “STARLIFE,” Victony sounds increasingly comfortable in his ability to shape his own musical world. The album captures an artist moving beyond the expectations created by his breakthrough and establishing a broader creative identity, one capable of balancing Afrobeats, pop, and introspective songwriting without being confined by any single lane.

“STARLIFE” marks another defining point in Victony’s evolution, offering a cohesive snapshot of an artist embracing the possibilities and complications that come with his new chapter.
