Nigerian music superstar Damini Ogulu, globally known as Burna Boy, has achieved a historic milestone as the first African artist to receive Grammy nominations for six consecutive years. This exceptional achievement underscores his enduring influence and consistent impact on the global music scene since 2018.

Burna Boy, famously dubbed the “African Giant,” has now garnered an impressive total of 11 Grammy nominations throughout his career, with one win to his name. His hit song, Higher, is nominated in the newly introduced Best African Music Performance category at the 67th Grammy Awards, adding to his legacy as a trailblazer for African music on the world stage.

Meanwhile, Tems continues to solidify her presence as a powerhouse in Nigerian music. She leads with three nominations in categories spanning genres and styles: Best Global Music Album, Best African Music Performance, and Best R&B Song, for her tracks Born In The Wild, Love Me Jeje, and Burning. These nominations bring Tems‘ total Grammy nods to eight, further showcasing the global resonance of Nigerian music and artistry.
