Nigerian producer, artist, and DJ Sarz has officially released his highly anticipated debut album, “Protect Sarz At All Costs”. This bold and boundary-breaking project redefines the soundscape of Afrobeats and beyond.
Globally recognized as one of the key architects of the Afrobeats movement, Sarz crafts a 12-track sonic journey that fuses cultures, genres, and emotions into one immersive experience. The album features an eclectic lineup of collaborators, including Wizkid, Fireboy DML, Asake, Gunna, Lojay, Joeboy, Libianca, Skillibeng, and more — each adding a unique layer to the project’s global sound.
Speaking on the album, Sarz shared: “This project is a reflection of my journey, my culture, and the sounds that have shaped me. I hope that no matter where someone is in the world, they can hear this album and feel an undeniable connection to the music. Each collaborator brings their own influence and background, making the project a tapestry of global voices. Like an artifact that is worth protecting, at its core I want this album to celebrate the trailblazing African artists who continue to push boundaries and evolve the sound.”
From the island-infused rhythms of “Mademoiselle” to the sultry, jazz-tinged “Nice & Slow” and the club-ready pulse of “Up”, Sarz showcases his unparalleled versatility as a producer and curator. Tracks like “BMF” pay homage to the beauty and power of African women, further grounding the album in cultural pride and authenticity.
Protect Sarz At All Costs marks a defining moment in Sarz’s illustrious career — not just as his first full-length release, but as a cultural statement. It celebrates Africa’s enduring influence on global music, positioning Sarz as both a sonic visionary and a bold creative force stepping into his well-deserved spotlight.
Born Osabuohien Osaretin, Sarz is an award-winning Nigerian producer and hitmaker whose production credits span global icons such as Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Chris Brown, Skepta, Niniola, and Beyoncé. Beyond his own artistry, Sarz is the founder of The Sarz Academy Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing Africa’s next generation of producers — with alumni including Dunnie, Ppriime, Tempoe, and STGprodigy.
With Protect Sarz At All Costs, Sarz cements his legacy as a pioneer — protecting the sound, the culture, and the spirit of African music.
