Named after the Cotonou home where the project was crafted, the EP serves as both a nostalgic homecoming and a heartfelt tribute to the fans who have been with him since the beginning.
With Maison Rouge, Mr Eazi restores the intimate, soulful aura of early classics like “Skin Tight” and “Bankulize”, while evolving the sound with modern textures, inventive production, and deeply intentional songwriting. Built on warm grooves, palm-wine influences, delicate melodies, and close-textured vocals, the EP reconnects Mr Eazi to his earliest inspirations while inviting new listeners into his Banku Music universe.
Leading the EP is “Violence,” produced by long-time collaborators P.Priime and E.Kelly, who bring a mellow, romantic feel that is quintessentially Eazi. The bright and bouncy “Make E No Tey” follows with sunshine-soaked rhythms, while “Busstop” channels upbeat Ghanaian hiplife into a vibrant afrofusion gem built for radio, dancefloors, and party speakers alike.
Previously released singles “Casanova,” “Corny,” and “Love Me Now” add even more depth to the project, revealing layers of vulnerability, playfulness, and tenderness throughout the Maison Rouge story.

MR EAZI is a GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY Award–winning musician, creative visionary, and one of Africa’s most influential artists. Raised in Nigeria and breaking out of Ghana, he pioneered Banku Music, a mellow fusion of Ghanaian highlife, Nigerian chord progressions, and Pidgin storytelling.
