Emerging Afro-Fusion artist Skyy ZNO has unveiled his debut album “ExitUs,” a seven-track body of work that celebrates the shared musical heritage of the African Diaspora while exploring themes of identity, resilience, and human connection.
More than a traditional debut, “ExitUs” is presented as a conceptual journey that draws together musical influences from across the globe. Afrobeats, Soul, Salsa, Dembow, and Reggae coexist throughout the project, reflecting the historical and cultural ties between Africa, the Caribbean, and the Americas. The result is an album that transcends borders, using music as a common language.
Co-produced by nine-time GRAMMY Award-winning producer Joe Nicolo and Skyy ZNO, the project unfolds across seven interconnected chapters: “JADE (ExitUs),” “A Little Love,” “Ice Cold World,” “Pressure,” “Coming Home,” “B O,” and “Ascend.” Each track contributes to a larger narrative that examines survival, self-discovery, and hope through immersive production and emotionally expressive songwriting.
Skyy ZNO describes the project with the phrase “One world, one rhythm,” a concept that captures the album’s central message of unity despite differences in nationality, language, or background. Throughout the record, commanding interludes and rich instrumentation create a cinematic atmosphere that enhances the storytelling.
The album follows the release of singles including “Carol of the Bells,” “Ledge,” and “Ándale,” which introduced listeners to Skyy ZNO’s genre-fluid approach and helped him accumulate more than 300,000 streams across digital platforms. “ExitUs” expands that foundation into a cohesive artistic statement that showcases both his versatility and ambition.
The project has also received notable recognition from Queen Diambi Kabatusuila Tshiyoyo Muata of Congo, who praised the album for tracing the evolution of African music across the Diaspora. She described it as a celebration of the resilience that gave rise to globally influential genres including Blues, Jazz, Gospel, Reggae, Salsa, Samba, R&B, and Hip Hop.
With “ExitUs,” Skyy ZNO introduces himself as an artist committed to pushing creative boundaries while honoring cultural heritage. The album stands as both a personal milestone and a celebration of the sounds that continue to connect communities across continents, positioning the singer-songwriter as a distinctive new voice in the global Afro-Fusion landscape.
