Rising Lagos-based singer, songwriter, and rapper FineFace returns with a powerful new body of work titled Cold Weather (The EP), released on January 30, 2026. The 3-track project blends smooth Afrobeat and Afro-fusion grooves with subtle R&B textures, offering listeners an intimate look into the artist’s emotional world.
At its core, Cold Weather (The EP) is shaped by personal experiences drawn from a past relationship. FineFace reflects on moments of abandonment and underestimation, transforming heartbreak into expressive melodies and honest lyricism. Songs like “Onitemi,” “Love”, and “You” function as open letters — emotional confessions written with the hope that they eventually reach the person who inspired them. Each track carries a raw sincerity, with lyrics that feel instinctive and deeply rooted in the artist’s lived reality.
The EP was recorded in a stripped-back, personal setting, created entirely within an apartment alongside FineFace’s producer and videographer. This close-knit process allowed the emotions behind the music to remain untouched and authentic. A supporting music video is already live on FineFace’s YouTube channel, with additional visuals expected to follow.
Born Felix Aichi Uchenna Chisom in 2001, FineFace has steadily carved out his own lane with a growing catalogue that includes GBTTW, RTSS, OMO OLOGO, and OJU MI. His sound continues to merge African musical foundations with melodic R&B influences, reflecting inspiration from artists such as Olamide. The name “FineFace,” given to him by his mother, Iruoma, has become synonymous with his evolving artistry.
With Cold Weather (The EP) already sparking conversation ahead of its release, FineFace positions himself as a promising voice whose emotional honesty and creative range are set to resonate far beyond Lagos. Listen on all platforms here
