Afro-fusion duo JFT step confidently into 2026 with the release of their new single “Touch,” a smooth, slow-burning record that thrives on tension, atmosphere, and emotional restraint. Blending Afro-fusion foundations with touches of Reggaeton and Afrobeats, the track explores desire in its quietest, most magnetic form — where attraction lingers and nothing needs to move too fast.
Built around repetition and groove, “Touch” unfolds patiently. A looping hook anchors the song, allowing rhythm and mood to guide the experience rather than urgency. The production is intentionally understated, allowing feelings to grow naturally, mirroring the subtle push and pull of connection before boundaries are crossed.
Although “Touch” arrives now, its roots stretch back nearly five years. From the outset, the record carried a strong Spanish influence, and rather than rushing its release, JFT allowed the song to mature organically. That patience paid off with the introduction of Palas, whose assured Spanish verse adds a Latin edge while maintaining the track’s intimate, hypnotic energy. The collaboration feels seamless, elevating the song without disrupting its core mood.
Produced by Genius Lil Manna, “Touch” blends Latin Reggaeton rhythms with Afrobeats bounce, striking a balance between warmth, movement, and late-night allure. With its laid-back tempo and trance-like pull, the track sits comfortably alongside global Afro-infused records such as Rema’s “Calm Down,” offering strong crossover appeal and replay value. JFT glide effortlessly between languages, keeping the song playful, sensual, and cool without overstatement.
About JFT
JFT is an Afro-fusion duo formed through years of friendship, faith, and creative instinct. Having attended the same secondary school, both members shared a love for music long before it became a career path. Though life initially took them in different directions, their bond remained intact. Years later, music reunited them — sparked by a Justin Bieber Purpose cover shared by JFT Reginald and an original release from JFT Poundz Zterlin, leading to their first collaboration, “Can’t Kill My Vibe,” and the birth of JFT.
Their sound reflects a global approach to Afrofusion, seamlessly blending genres and influences into expressive music, fluid, and constantly evolving. With releases such as 24 Shots, Rasta Lovin, Red Light, Ginger, Zombie, Feeling Irie, and Oouuuu, JFT continue to refine a shared vision while honoring their individual identities.
Despite one member being based in London and the other in Ghana, distance has never slowed their creative process. Working across borders and time zones — often through video calls — JFT proves that connection, not location, fuels their artistry.
Influences: Chronixx, Vybz Kartel, Popcaan, Burna Boy, Victony, Rema, Lauryn Hill, Rod Wave, Wizkid
